LIVE REVIEW: TYLER, THE CREATOR: ALL POINTS EAST 2026 - 28th August, 2026

Tyler, The Creator headlines day one of his two-day All Points East residency with an impressive line-up including Turnstile, Rex Orange County, Mariah the Scientist, Clipse and more

East London’s live music festival, All Points East, had already seen colossal names such as Queen of the Summer Zara Larsson, our heartache princess Lorde, Deftones, Tems, and so many more. Tyler, The Creator had large footsteps to follow in with not one, but two headline dates at Victoria Park. Two days of alternative hip-hop, practically bursting at the seams with incredible, international talent. The five stages of All Points East were packed with performances from 14:00 until Tyler’s closing ceremony ending at 22:55. Over ten hours of music and over 30 individual artist sets to entertain a crowd amassing an estimated 40-50,000 ticket holders.

Opening the North Stage was La Reezy. Bountiful stage presence, grooving across the stage to his tracks. Jumping around as the bass intensified and throwing his arms into the air. As the stage’s opener, he did not disappoint.

Running West, another stage opener, Changeline, was also setting the tone for the rest of the day. Changeline threw reams of flowing lyricism and lashings of screams throughout their set with maximum audience engagement. From a virtual cameo, a cartoon to a “dance cam” homing in on the most passionate within the crowd before them, the audience was constantly entertained. A brilliant set all in all, drawing in passers-by.

After the exhilarating set that was Changeline, the X stage was about to open. With this honour was Saam Sultan. The self-produced indie rapper was greeted with roaring support. Saam slowly walked up and down the stage in a long leather jacket and Cuban heels, pouring himself into the mic and filling the air with his unique, hazy and nostalgic sound. A chance to decompress after the power of Changeline.

Following the circuit, East Stage was then christened by iconic AG Club at 15:00. A varied assortment of bold, emotive tracks showcasing their ability to master multiple genres was shared with the audience. Although only fronted by Baby Boy and Jody Fontaine, AG Club identify as a 14-person collective, carving new roads of what it means to be an artist in the music industry. Involving all manner of creatives to form one blended, authentic collaboration. Jody Fontaine in particular prowled across the stage, leaping down to stand at the barriers and be one with the enchanted crowd. The two began bounding up and down the stage, jumping and dancing to tracks such as their viral tune ‘Memphis’.

The rest of the day continued in high spirits. Breakout artists such as Ecca Vandal, Sade Olutola and Love Spells. All delivering incredible, memorable performances. Definitely taking home a host of new fans, hitting follow as soon as they are reunited with bars of service within the festival grounds.

Moving forward, the East stage 2 female powerhouses, one after another. First, Ravyn Lenae, best known for her hit single ‘Love Me Not’ that shot through the charts in 2024, climbed infrastructure that had been built on the stage. Climbing a silver staircase while displaying calculated, choreographed movements that spread out each strand of her long orange hair through the wind in synchronicity with the silver tassels of her dress. A vision of a performance coupled with incredible vocals, reaching to the far end of the East Stage crowd.

Mariah the Scientist took to the stage next, disrupting the babbling of excited fans clutching to the barriers as soon as she came into view. Her powerful vocals suited the general’s characterisation she took on, saluting the crowd. Most notably, her performance of ‘Always n Forever’ lifted thousands of voices to sing along with her.

Moving into the evening, Rex Orange County captured the hearts of all. Opening with ‘Apricot Princess’, the audience was hit with a wave of nostalgia as the memorable piano keys led the swaying of the crowd, who seemed to know every word of his back catalogue. Rex’s set was unforgettable. Emitting the warmth of teen memories for many in the audience who chorused in muscle memory, the low-key set consisting of Rex, an entire brass ensemble and a band was perfectly fitting to his brand. Further on in his set, he welcomed the surprise cameo of Ravyn Lenae, who performed their collaborative version of ‘Love Me Not’. Catapulting the crowd into new levels of excitement.

Onto the finale of the entire day. The Creator himself. Immersing the East Stage in an all-encompassing set of a “Victoria Park” tube station, decorated in a hoard of graffiti with nods to his discography, including the most prominent ‘don’t touch the glass’; Tyler created an entirely new East Stage experience. Opening with ‘Big Poe’ and moving into ‘St Chroma’, the entire population of Victoria Park chanted along with the scarlet performer, adorned in an all-red leather effect two-piece, topped with a red cap to match. Powering through powerful renditions of his most infamous tracks. Launching into ‘Sugar On My Tongue’ to great reception from the crowd, before going into other classics such as ‘Sticky’, ‘Who Dat Boy’ and ‘EARFQUAKE’. Everyone was pumped. The crowd was stacked, piling back as far as you could see. All fighting for a glimpse. Tyler delivered an excellent performance. A masterclass in performance art. Channelling his all into the performance. Exerting all his passion and strength into serving his fans. A Triumphant end to All Points East: Tyler, The Creator’s day one.
